First of all, launch the hldsupdatetool you should have downloaded already.
Make sure you save it to a temporary location and run it.
Navigate through the wizard like you are used to, which means next most of the time.
When it asks you about the destination folder, click browse.
Type c:\srcds in the textfield and click on OK. Finish the wizard.

Now click on Start > Run and type cmd . Type in the commands
mentioned here and end a line with the enter key.

Extract the files from the other file you downloaded which hldsupdatetool,
which you should have downloaded already. Included in this package
is what makes the server cracked, to extras it to c:\srcds where your server is.

First edit/create a server.cfg file. You can find a builder here:

When you get the script, realizate a cfg file in your cstrike/cfg folder
using notepad and copy-paste your script into the file, saving when needed.

Click Start, Run, type in the box there:

This will give you a result that is common among most users. The settings from
your server.cfg will automatically activate when the server starts, so you really
don't need to do anything after this. Your srcds is now up and running and you
should be proud. If it didn't work, you're going to have to start all over again to
get the result you want. You should have read more carefully, fool!

There are many different mods out there for CS:S, but if you don't know any or
only a few and want a natural server (not zombies, gungame, nothing like that) then
the only mod you'll probably want is the Mani Admin Plugin, similar to the AMX mod
for CS 1.6 only this one obviously is for CS:S and has many more features, taking full
control of the GUI interfaces that are in Steam-based games (it looks MUCH cooler).

You can get this mod easy then ever on Mani's main website. The installation should
be easy, especially to someone who was able to make a server.cfg file correctly themselves.
Mani, along with CS:S, is updated regularly, so make sure you get the proper patches for Mani
and DigitalZone/PacSteam on ke0.info and apply them correctly to your server. Fail to do so and
you'll have some major issues to deal with and will probably have to start all over again.
